Welcome to my online classroom! This is my seventh year teaching at Seckman High School, my sixth year teaching American Government, and my third year teaching Honors American Government. Education is a major passion of mine, and I constantly strive to help my students improve and grow on a daily basis and through a variety of different means. I am a firm believer in the importance of lifelong education, and one of my main goals as a teacher is to help foster a passion within my students to expand their knowledge bases both inside and outside of the classroom.
Because I am a major advocate of technology, students will utilize a variety of mediums in order to learn within my classroom. Students may view lecture notes and video clips, analyze primary and secondary sources, read news articles, write essays, conduct research projects, debate current events, and break down recent news stories using social media outlet such as Twitter and Instagram. My goal is to create an environment where students are learning in a variety of different ways, and I believe that utilizing the latest technological trends within the classroom is the most effective way to accomplish that goal.
